Social media has become much more than a way to stay connected and to have fun: it is a way to market yourself, your business, your products and services.

By establishing a presence in social media, you give yourself virtually unlimited exposure to relevant people without encountering any significant cost issues. While this is good, it can be hard to track how you are performing across the wide spectrum of the Internet.

With powerful tools you can judge the effectiveness of your social media efforts and keep track of what people are saying about you. Here are 10 Social Media Tools to monitor your brand’s performance and results across multiple social media sites.

Twazzup

A dashboard program that monitors Twitter, Twazzup will tell you every time your keywords are mentioned in a tweet. It will also categorize your results by link popularity, contributors, tagging clouds and users. Unique features like avatar mouse-overs that give more details about that user’s relevant tweets make Twazzup a surprisingly powerful and valuable social media monitoring tool.

Excellent Post !!! Never heard of all these social monitoring tools.

  • http://www.learnsocialmediatoday.co.uk Abigail

Thank you for the data. Just in time, as I have been updating my training manual and wanted to include measurement tools for social media.
Of course, 10 different tools are alot, and some people will find one or two that offer them the reports and data collation that they are after.

It would be so easy to suffer analysis-paralysis, so I will advise my clients to look at them all and chose the best two or three to stick to.

Nice for them to have the choice though.
    Thank you.

Are there any other soicla media measurement tools that have a focus on formulating monetary value?

Thanks for bringing in more information to our readers. We really appreciate that!

  • http://www.webdesignbooth.com Dicky

    Hi Abigail,
You are right, 10 tools are a lot, and most of us use only 2-3 tools at the same time. So you probably should give these tools a try and pick according to your needs.

We work with many top brands (P&G, Microsoft, etc) to help them get to the next level of social media monitoring, which is social media analysis – automatically determining sentiment, topic, trends, and root-cause analysis. Instead of keyword matching, our system uses text analysis engines. It often doesn’t replace the tools listed here for PR/brand mention calculation, but adds comprehensive, scalable analysis for other parts of the business including customer support, strategic marketing, product management, and business unit GMs.
