I tried Magento for a while after giving up on OSCommerce. Eventually, with OSCommerce, I was put off by its security issues, complex code & slow release cycles. I liked reviewing Magento - good ease of use and setup was relatively easy. As an alternative option for you, I ended up using DLGuard (http://tinyurl.com/dlguardlearn) for its multiple payment processor support and principally because it targets digital download sales management. I put up a full review of it at sell eBooks and software online. While its not free like the others – you get what you pay for, and for me the download sales security is worth it.

Yeah agree! Magento is just simple the best among the rest. I just don't understand why there are a number of people hates Magento. Also, next to the Magento is the Zen Cart followed by CRE Loaded and osCommerce.

Magento is really the leader when it comes to the free (they also offer a paid version) open source carts. The built in features is simply amazing. I admit that there is somewhat of a learning curve compared to others, but it can really handle everything. As more and more tutorials come out, its getting easier for the new user to learn.
