    Nice list!

I just wanted to let you and your readers know about another solution – and I’m biased because I’m working on it so I hope you don’t mind me plugging it here!

It’s called Qlockwork, and it’s a plug-in for Outlook. All your activities get automatically written to an Outlook calendar so it’s in a familiar format, and very easy to use. You can assign activities (e.g. different programs or documents) to projects and then easily generate time reports.

    There’s a 30-day free trial downloadable from http://www.qlockwork.com and after that it’s a one-off cost of $49.95 to license.

    Thanks!
    Liz

  8. Burhan KILINC says:

it would be perfect if one of these programs can be integrated with workrave.

  9. Awesome list. I’ve just found some alternatives to the usual Software.

    Thanks mate.

  10. Porter says:

Klok is an amazing program, I’ve used it for a long time now. The UI is incredibly friendly, and it only took me a few minutes to figure everything out. I wrote a review on Klok from a self employed game developers perspective, give it a read if you get the time. Glad to see the developers getting the attention they deserve, they’ve worked hard on giving us a great, free program.

  13. Tevan says:

On The Job is good for Mac users. I’m surprised it wasn’t included in this list. Despite its being buggy at times, its interface is friendlier than most of the apps listed here.

  14. You got to check out Paymo time tracker too.

  15. Dave says:

Been using Chrometa for about 6 months now. Awesome software. Works well in a legal setting and a friend is using it for his architecture company. It is really easy to use and tracks nearly everything. Highly recommend it.

  16. Vlad Miller says:

    I am using tahometer.com

  17. I used to use Klok a lot, but found that I got lazy and sometimes forgot to switch my active task. I find the manual part of most time trackers to be the week point for people like me who aren’t dedicated to tracking their time. That’s why I’m using and liking ManicTime (windows) right now.

The key differentiator is that ManicTime tracks your active window, including titles (configurable) and tracks active/non-active time so you don’t need to remember to change a setting when you head out for lunch or to a meeting.

I also use the tags and reports to see how much time I’m spending in activities I want to keep an eye on.

    - I do not work for, with or have any personal or financial relationship with manic time, I just like their product.

  18. Andrew says:

    Hi Shamini,

I use Fanurio for time tracking. Fanurio has a few reminders to help you start, resume or stop the timer. It also has idle time detection and it can be used on Windows, Mac and Linux.

  19. RCKY says:

Use Klock right now… but would love to have a plugin for netbeans that tracks time on the projects you work on…

  20. i applied for data entry jobs over the internet and it is also a good part time job..`”
