Most of the online portfolios look the same. So if you are going to attract people, you will need a really creative and unique portfolio. some really killer work. I had a fancy “high-art” portfolio for a long time but when I started freelancing (and depending on the “average” client) I moved to a more traditional site. Something that still looks decent but with a layout that’s well within the box. Perhaps one day I’ll be in-demand enough to get back there.
