When you’re designing a gig poster, typically you’re given a lot of creative control. Gig posters differ from many of the other things you may be asked to design – company logos, business cards and corporate websites – in that a gig poster needs to be full of personality, and nothing else. It’s allowed to offend, and it can be loud and brash – the only thing that’s not allowed of it is to be bland.
